By Clelia Farris, 2012 - 240 pages.
In an Egypt suspended between the Cult of the Dead, the Isiac religion, genetic transformation of plants and animals and a political and ecological Revolution, take place the events of the Seven, a team of policemen which, under agreement with the Judges of the Dead, can exchange the killer soul with the victim one to have the body's victim resurrected. But for this to happen, all team members must come together in the "serdab".
Menes, one of the Seven, is killed in a disused public toilet and the Team Captain call Naïma to replace him.
Naïma is an Eye of Horus, a detective dealing with ordinary crimes. To obey her superior, she must give up the hunt for a killer who bleeds off his victims and buries the bodies in a very unusual manner: a pyramid of white sheets, a cello, a crystal plate.
During the investigation, the Seven will have to face the UnderSea, a subterranean region populated by monstrous creatures, originated by insane matings between pre-revolution genes of fish, algae and human beings. And they will discover that not all of the resurrected people are happy to be back to life.
Naïma will finally solve her cases and discover who killed Menes, but the price to be paid will be high.
